Spray Polyurethane Foam System
Miller Roofing Contractors, a Conklin independent business owner, has been in the roofing business for nearly three decades. We’ve seen how roofing systems have changed, and we change right along with them to ensure that our customers are always getting the best service and applications available for their money. One of the ways we accomplish this is by offering Conklin’s Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) System. While the system itself might not be new, the way we apply it is. In line with our most up-to-date equipment, we now use a Spraybot® to apply the foam system to your roof.
The SPF System is a great way to provide high-grade insulation on both roofing and interior wall applications, for top-down protection from the elements. An SPF application effectively controls air filtration, adds building strength, and reduces cooling and heating costs. During the restoration process, each problem area is systematically addressed, repaired, and resealed. The entire roof is then sealed with a reflective finish coat.
Application
Walls
Our spray-in-place polyurethane foam consists of two parts – foam and coating. These two components are stored separately and then mix together at the nozzle of the spray gun. This allows them to react and expand, providing top-notch insulation for your exterior walls.
Roofs
Spray polyurethane foam is great for low-pitch industrial steel roofs because as the temperature changes, metal roofs expand and contract. This foam coating can expand and contract with the metal, eliminating leaks. It is also an extremely energy efficient roofing system – the white coat finish is 85% reflective (compared to 60-65% for other systems).
The Spraybot® provides a clean, consistent spray-in-place layer of spray polyurethane foam over the entire roof. This helps guarantee proper installation, which in turn provides the best roofing system.

Installation
Installation of the Spray Polyurethane Foam System is a simple process. First, we prepare the roof surface – preparation techniques will be different depending on the existing roof type. Next, we apply a minimum one-inch thick layer of SPF. Lastly, we coat the entire foam surface with the applicable Conklin coating system. New, greatly insulated roofing system installed.
Having an SPF roofing system means that when it reaches the end of its lifespan, 15-20 years, all that needs done is a re-coat. We simply power wash the roof and then apply a new coat of spray polyurethane foam. Voila! New roof done.
At Miller Roofing Contractors, we can help you see why roofing with Conklin’s SPF System is a perfect way to provide high-grade roof insulation for superior protection from the elements.
